From the album and project Poppyland Songs; Life On A Cliff Edge.
Nominated for the Norfolk Arts Awards 2022 ‘Poppyland Songs’ is a musical tapestry telling the stories of life on a cliff edge through song inspired by 100 year old journals . With support from Arts Council England, Bertie gathered stories & memories from people past & present in Poppyland, North Norfolk and composed a song cycle.
There is also an accompanying podcast to this album.

Lots of people were open enough to sit down and share some stories with me. This song shares some of these moment from witnessing a plane crash in WW2 in Sidestrand to watching the Sex Pistols at The Pavillion!
