From the album and project Poppyland Songs; Life On A Cliff Edge.
Nominated for the Norfolk Arts Awards 2022 ‘Poppyland Songs’ is a musical tapestry telling the stories of life on a cliff edge through song inspired by 100 year old journals . With support from Arts Council England, Bertie gathered stories & memories from people past & present in Poppyland, North Norfolk and composed a song cycle.
There is also an accompanying podcast to this album.

These lyrics were found in Kit's journals but I couldn't find any referemce for them in my research so I composed my own melody for them.
